The objective of this training module is to provide participants with a solid understanding of the principal processes and controls within private equity.

The first event, titled "FATCA: Impact on Luxembourg and the PE industry" features a guest speaker: Keith Lawson, Senior Counsel - Tax Law, Investment Company Institute (ICI), Washington DC, USA. Keith will provide a brief overview of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act ("FATCA"), the recent regulatory developments and the impact on Luxembourg and the PE industry.

Because Keith has been working closely with the United States Treasury Department, the Internal Revenue Service ("IRS") and various foreign trade organizations (ALFI among others) to ensure that the views of the global investment fund community on this drastic regulation are taken into consideration, he has key insights and practical points to share.
